We've managed to snag a picture of the front of a new Person of Interest's car. We need you to find out the make of the car and the month it was made in!
We've attached the photo from a local CCTV camera, take a look?
Enter as such: (Brand)(SPACE)(Month)
For instance: Renault March
- License Plate ID: CY10 HHB
- License Plate Location: Europe
I started looking to identify what country the license plate was from via Wikipedia and World License Plates, but realized there was probably a better starting point to pivot from than simply determining a country.
Doing a reverse image search for similarities yielded this car listing:
Our car in the picture is a 1-for-1 match, so we know the make is a Ford KA 1.2. The car's Wikipedia page confirms our hunch that the car is a European model, specifically the 2008 B420 European version. We can tell this thanks to where the license plate is positioned and how many vents there are above as opposed to below, which changed from the previous version and changed again in the Brazilian version.
The Wikipedia gives us several months related to the car:
- Production started in July 2008
- Car was unveiled in October 2008
- Production ended in May 2016
We also know that the car was assembled in Tychy, Poland at a Fiat factory.
Using the European Google, I searched for a way to check license plates to see if that would net any particular months of interest. The site AA Car Check was able to return information about the car, such as that it is a Silver Ford KA Titanium 2010, but they wanted to charge me £14.99 to get the full report.
Searching directly for the license plate number on Google sent me to this page, which indicates that the vehicle was registered in June of 2010. Thus, the flag was Ford June
